The Round Table, first mentioned by Robert Wace in his “Roman de Brut”, was not only a physical table but the highest Order of Chivalry at the Court of King Arthur. Its members were supposedly the cream of the British military who followed a strict code of honour and service. The overall design and shape is inspired by the Middle Ages: a typical knight´s amour as well as the architecture of that time (arches, columns, vertical lines). The Edition is representing the value of the Middle Ages: the red colour of the stones stands for strenght and courage and gold as material is representing wealth and nobility. The nib is enriched with a fine engraving of the Excalibur Sword.
