Limited to 1,917 pieces in honor of the year Kennedy was born, the John F. Kennedy Limited Edition 1917 is inspired by his favorite pastime of sailing – from the rope-like texture visible on the cap and barrel, to the engraving on the nib of the lifesaver from Kennedy’s boat, the Victura. Since the Kennedy family was of central significance in John F. Kennedy’s life and career, the writing instrument features three cap rings representing Kennedy’s three brothers, while the ten members of his childhood family are symbolized by ten marks on the fittings. Engraved on the clip at the center of them all are the initials: “JFK”. His campaign motto, “A time for greatness,” is engraved on the cap ring. This Edition also honors his time in the U.S. Navy with a star on the cone inspired by the official five-pointed insignia. Kennedy’s vision of a moon landing is symbolized by the Montblanc emblem in moon quartz crowning the cap.
