It is one of the most ancient colors used by human beings. Hand paintings on rock walls and caves may date back 50,000 years. In the Renaissance, the violet retained its status as the color of the emperors and princes of the church throughout the Byzantine Empire. The permanent color was derived by natural pigments mixed with amethyst mineral. The precious natural ink recipe contains Gardenia Blue extract, a specific concentration of the flower.
