This High Artistry Collection is inspired by the Taj Mahal and the rich world of Indian design and craftsmanship. The overall design of the fountain pen reflects the shape of the traditional Moghuls' dagger while the peacock feather, set with baguette and individual-cut diamonds, refers to Shah Jahan’s legendary Peacock Throne – a masterpiece of craftsmanship encrusted with some of the world’s most extraordinary gemstones and crowned with a golden peacock. Shah Jahan’s legendary love for his wife, which led him to build the world-famous Taj Mahal, is celebrated with an engraving of a pair of love birds on the handcrafted Au 750 / 18 K solid gold nib decorated with a diamond. According to legend, Shah Jahan planned to build himself a mirror image of the majestic, white mausoleum he built for his wife Mumtaz Mahal – only in black. It was supposedly intended to stand on the opposite side of the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal. This story is the inspiration behind the Limited Edition 1 Black Myth featuring pavé-set black sapphires and white diamonds covering its entire length, including a 6 ct. brilliant cut diamond at the centre of the cap top. Made from Au 750 / 18 K solid white gold, this writing jewel is adorned with a white opal cabochon, which can be detached to reveal a lotus flower in mother-of-pearl marquetry beneath.
