This year is dedicated to the Torch Dragon (燭龍), a giant red solar dragon and god in Chinese mythology. The design on the sterling silver cap is inspired by the traditional drawing of the Torch Dragon. The lacquered red barrel set with diamonds is inspired by the red color of the Torch Dragon. The writing instrument's nib is engraved with a delicate symbol which stands for the seventh son of the dragon.
