The Patron of Art Karl the Great Limited Edition 4810 pays tribute to this great cultural visionary of the first millennium with an equally great writing instrument. The barrel and cap of Edition 4810 are made of delicately wound Ag 925 sterling silver. The detailed gold-coated mountings are reminiscent of Carolingian features in the decoration of Aachen Cathedral, where Charlemagne was crowned. The hand-worked, rhodium-coated Au 750 solid gold nib is decorated by an engraving of an early Medieval pattern and the emperor’s monogram.
