François I was the fi?rst renaissance king and also a passionate patron of the ?fine arts. He acquired works by Italian masters including Michelangelo, Titian and Raphael and laid the foundations for the royal art collection in the Louvre palace in Paris. The Limited Edition François I combines golden-brown shimmering tiger eye with black precious resin, lending this writing instrument a truly regal aura. Renaissance patterns adorn the clip and the gold-coated rings. The nib is decorated with an engraving of the fleur-de-lis, the emblem of the French royal house.
