The Montblanc 1858 product line is inspired by the legendary professional Minerva watches from the 1920s and 1930s which were conceived for exploration. Reinterpreting these historical timepieces, the Montblanc 1858 product line expresses the spirit of mountain exploration, embodying the modern trend of returning to nature. The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Pink Dial Unique Piece is inspired by the colour pink that symbolizes the fight against breast cancer, Montblanc’s designers have chosen a stunning shiny fuchsia pink-coloured dial that is lacquered with a sunray finishing making the timepiece stand out even more. Coated with SuperLuminova, the compass indications on the bezel, the Arabic numerals, the indexes and the globes feature blue luminescence, while the hours, minutes, and second time zone appear in luminescent green - providing appealing glowing aesthetics and great readability. The timepiece features a manufacture world-time complication developed by the Montblanc watchmakers in Villeret: two domed globes, turning in opposite directions, that complete a full rotation in 24 hours. Both are surrounded by a scale with the 24 time zones, along with a day and night indication in contrasting colours. This provides an instinctive way of appreciating the different time zones, aided by luminescent continents for increased visibility and performance at night. The fuchsia pink-coloured dial is contrasted with a deep black titanium 42 mm case that is achieved using a Diamond-like-Carbon (DLC) treatment whose colour is described as “Black 4”, which stands for “very black”- as black as it gets. The timepiece is completed with a black calf leather strap with pink stitching.
