The famous legacy left by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan is the Taj Mahal, a cultural symbol of the Indian nation. Its radiant white marble façade is richly decorated with delicate arabesques and flower garlands created from thousands of precious and semi-precious stones and shimmering mother-of-pearl. The Limited Edition 5 honours this architectural masterpiece with delicate designs reminiscent of the arabesque and flower garlands, artfully engraved by hand - inspired by traditional ancient engraving techniques - on the barrel made of Au 750 solid yellow gold. The cone and cap top display rubies, emeralds and diamonds set in a style reminiscent of the Kundan stone setting technique. The peacock feather set with square and individual-cut diamonds bears a facetted ruby at its heart, which can be detached to reveal a hand engraving of a fern beneath. The nib, made of Au 750 yellow gold, is engraved with the two love birds and is set with a brilliant cut diamond. As a highlight an ~1.9 ct. brilliant cut diamond is set as centre stone.
