The name Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is synonymous with the glittering atmosphere of Belle Èpoque Paris. He immortalised the Parisian underworld of his era, while simultaneously challenging the genre of poster art and refining the techniques of lithographic printing. The overall design of the Limited Edition recalls the riotus performances and risqué costumes of the cancan dancers. The cap is hand-painted to resemble a corset with small waist and seductive curve in red precious lacquer. With its ruffle-like guilloche under the black translucent lacquer, the barrel is inspired by the petticoats worn by the cancan dancers. In reference to the symbol of the Moulin Rouge, his preferred club, the clip is shaped like a windmill. The grid pattern of the windmill arms of the Moulin Rouge provided the inspiration for the design of the skeletonised upper part of the cap. A red garnet set in the cone of the Limited Edition is shaped in reference to the shoes worn by the legendary Moulin Rouge dancers. A fine engraving of his signature bowler hat and pince-nez is found on the nib. The limitation refers to the first and most famous Moulin Rouge poster "La Goulue" created by Toulous-Lautrec.
