Paul Klee (1879 – 1940) was a Swiss painter and graphic artist and is regarded as one of the most important visual artists and theorists of the 20th century, influenced by expressionism, cubism and surrealism. The design is inspired by his painting "Separation in the Evening" from 1922. Colour composition inspired by his work of art. Colours are fading from dark to light symbolizing the sunset. The clip refers to the arrows in the painting. The nib is engraved with two arrows. A geometric pattern, typically for Paul Klee´s work is lasered on cap-ring and cone. Limited to 79 pieces as a reference to his consecutively numbered paintings; 79 as "Separation in the Evening".
