Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter and best known for her self-portraits. Kahlo‘s work is remembered for its „pain and passion“ and its intense, vibrant colours. The Limitation refers to her 70-pages diary. The design is deeply influenced by the indigenous Mexican culture, which is apparent in using bright colours and dramatic symbols. Skeletonised cap especially inspired from her famous paintings. Engravings of typical Mexican patterns on the cone. The clip is enriched with a dark red Mozambique garnet in heart shape which reflects passion and pain. A cobalt blue colour reminds her house in Coyoacán in Mexico City. Her portrait and origin Mexican ornaments decorate the nib.
