The Montblanc 1858 product line is inspired by the legendary professional Minerva watches from the 1920s and 1930s which were conceived for military use and exploration. Reinterpreting these legendary timepieces, the Montblanc 1858 product line expresses the spirit of mountain exploration, embodying the modern trend of returning to nature. The Montblanc 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter Limited Edition 100 showcases a vintage style—from the design of the case, to the movement, strap and details on the dial. The timepiece comes with a salmon-coloured dial that has a sunray finishing and is housed in a 44 mm fully satinated bronze case with a bronze-coloured titanium case back (to avoid allergies). At the heart of the timepiece lies a traditional manual monopusher chronograph movement, the calibre MB M16.29, which is entirely handcrafted at the Montblanc Manufacture, with a column wheel mechanism, horizontal coupling, chronograph bridge in a "V" shape, large screwed balance wheel vibrating at a frequency of 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour and power reserve of 50 hours.
