Paying tribute to Charlie Chaplin as one of the greatest actors, the limitation is referring to his age of 88 years when he died on 25 December 1977. Inspired by the film "Modern Times" - a masterpiece of 1936 in which Chaplin slipped in the role of a tramp - Montblanc created the Charlie Chaplin edition. The intricate cog-wheels on cap and barrel, appearing to drive one another, symbolize the industrial machinations featured in Modern Times. Cone inspired by his baggy trousers and splayed feed, clad in oversized shoes. The cap top refers to his typical bowler hat. The clip inspired by Chaplin´s walking cane.
